The single leaf door pantry cupboard with inlaid geometric patterns in Ampezzano style is made of old spruce wood, retrieved from furnishing dating back to the 17th and 18th century. The coating preserves the old wood effect.
The door has 2 panels inlaid with a geometric pattern, veneered with a thickness of 6 mm, the perimeter of the panels is embellished by a finely shaped cornice which surrounds the surface of the frame, that is the technique in vogue during the 17th century for furniture from Belluno. The cupboard is supported by a shaped cornice placed on an open skirting to lighten the structure. We have crafted a dedicated steel milling cutter to reproduce the moulded cornice which surrounds the 2 panels. The sides are smooth like the top, which is embellished by an elegant cornice in the lower part around the base. Inside the inlaid Ampezzano style pantry cupboard with a leaf door there are 3 shelves used as a pantry, enriched by accessories like the lock, the keyhole cover and the 2 shaped hinges reproduced from the original cupboard in forged-iron, punched by hand without any weld. The pantry cupboard is hand-polished with natural products, coated with natural clays and protected by virgin beeswax. The old solid spruce wood and the handmade ageing give to the pantry cupboard a look very similar to the original furniture.
Build in 2 sizes 68x40x142h. - 88x53x168h. - 120x45x142h. (the latter made with 2 doors) the pantry cupboard is completely hand-crafted and customizable for dimensions, internal structure and type of polishing.
The original single leaf door pantry cupboard with inlaid geometric patterns dates back to the end of the 17th century, Cortina d'Ampezzo.
During our trip in an old farm restored to be used as a house, we noticed at the entry an original couple of this wonderful pantry cupoboard in Ampezzano style with geometric inlaid patterns. We were impressed by the originality of the inlaid door and by the iron hinges so, by courtesy of the owners, we decided to make a perfect reproduction. We retrieved all the measures, took detailed pictures and we obtained the mould of the hinges through a clay mixture, then we gave it to our blacksmith, who reproduced the hinges in iron and, last but not least, we gave a warm polishing with old spruce wood. Vangelista Mobili 1960 employs the same techniques in vogue during the 17th century to satisfy its clientele's needs for important mountain houses, especially storerooms, entries and bedrooms.
