Precious TV stand decorated by hand with floral and baroque designs, reproduced by hand in the 18th century Ampezzo style from the original model. The two large front doors can be used as a chest, TV stand, sideboard or bottle holder for the living room. This piece of furniture is suitable for luxury entrances, bedrooms and luxury dining rooms of important residences and mountain homes.
The Ampezzo chest of drawers with two doors has a front plinth interrupted by a shape that lightens the structure. A perimeter frame surmounts the bands and the inside is structured with a removable shelf. The perimeter of the elements is surrounded by an important baroque decoration in ocher yellow with shades of orange; at the center of the decorations you can see elegant bouquets of brightly colored polychrome flowers, which reflect the typicality and characteristics of the mountain landscapes of Ampezzo in the Belluno area. It is important to note that the bouquets of flowers are different from one another, proof of their realization made exclusively by hand.
The structure is made of solid spruce, wood traditionally used by the local artisans to make their fine furnishings, because it lends itself very well to lacquering.
The doors are worked with a frame, while the frame is molded with a double groove and a bull, as in the original model. The most complex part of the work is represented by the decorations of the doors, in the sides and in the top, executed by hand with water-based tempera. The chest of drawers is lacquered in greenish hues, which highlights the veins of the fir. The decorations are patinated with earth dust that gives the artifact an ancient flavor, bringing it closer to the original model of the early eighteenth century.
The Ampezzo TV stand is produced with dimensions 120x50x63h. Being built and decorated by hand it is possible to produce it tailored to dimensions, color tones and type of decorative subjects. By changing the size of the chest, the decorations are also re-proportioned according to the size of each element, thanks to the fact that the decoration is done by hand.
This luxurious chest of drawers model is reproduced from the original artifact dating back to 1720, from the area of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The history of the reproduction of this exclusive TV stand is unique. At lunch in a restaurant in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the owner, already our client, asked us to reproduce from the original this chest made between the end of the seventeenth century and the beginning of the eighteenth century. Once the customized production has been confirmed with the dimensions desired by the customer, our client was amazed by the precision and the similarity to his original model when he saw the finished and decorated furniture. Vangelista Mobili realizes the models in eighteenth-century Ampezzo style, reproduced from the originals, maintaining the same constructive workings and the same decorative methodologies, obtaining excellent results.
