Luxury black and red two-tone console enriched with bronzes, reproduced in the Venetian Louis XV style. The elegant shape of the curves and the rounded proportion of the stylistic layout make the model fit very well into prestigious entrances and important dining rooms of luxurious and exclusive residences
The console line has a "double rib" in both the front and sides, rounded in both directions. Two large side drawers, mounted with handmade dovetail joints, are divided by a small secret central drawer. The legs are moved and shaped like a "saber", surrounded in their outer perimeter by a very refined hand-carved cord, which lightens the shape. The Louis XV Venetian console is lacquered with an exclusive two-tone finish: the top is polished in antiqued honey tones, the frame is lacquered in dark brown, while the inside of the legs is lacquered in red. The console has a golden lower perimeter cord in worn gold leaf and is embellished with important hand-engraved bronze accessories in the classic Louis XV style.
The structure of the two-colored Venetian console is made of solid cherry wood, the interiors of the drawers are made of fir wood, the bronzes are made of cast brass on an earth mold.
The construction and polishing processes of the two-color console respect the same criteria used in Venetian workshops during the 1700s. The interior of the drawers are assembled by hand with “dovetail” joints and the shapes are modeled on solid wood. The bronzes are made of cast brass on an earthen mold with the ancient technique of "lost wax", chiselled by hand.
The two-colored Venetian console is produced in 3 sizes 120x42x86h. - 140x43x86h. - 160x44x86h, and is a piece of furniture combined with 2 types of mirrors, carved and gilded by hand. Being a handcrafted artifact it can be reproduced according to size, type of essences and color tones.
The two-colored Venetian console is inspired by the original model dating back to the mid-1700s, located in the historic Venetian residence of Cà Dario.
Visiting the Ca 'Dario palace in Venice, we noticed in the main hall a pair of shaped and rounded two-tone consoles and, impressed by their shape and originality of the two-tone lacquer with the red interior of the legs, we chose to reproduce the model for our prestigious clientele. The meticulous work of the convex construction and the reproduction of bronze accessories were not easy, but the result is excellent, comparable to the original. Only Vangelista Mobili 1960 reproduces high quality pieces in its artisan workshop that reflect the typicality of the true Made in Italy.
