Model Description

Model Structure

The chair with the Ampezzo heart has a shaped back around the perimeter, a typical workmanship of Alpine and Tyrolean chairs; the molded section of the seat is supported by 4 inclined and turned legs with an octagonal section. The support legs are fitted together with the seat by means of a pin inserted inside. At the center of the design is a vase with a bunch of flowers in Venetian red.

Raw Material

The exclusivity of the heart-shaped Tyrolean Ampezzo chair is given by its production in ancient eighteenth-century fir essence. To ensure maximum sturdiness, the legs are made of solid ash wood.

Manufacture

The steps of the processes to complete the finish of the Ampezzo heart chair in antique fir are numerous: the chair is patinated with dissolved earth powders on a water base and then expertly antiqued by hand with stone. Subsequently, the chair is hand painted on the front and back of the backrest with water-based tempera colors in dark green tones, with a refined baroque design with beige shades. Both the patination and the decorations are fixed with a transparent water-based varnish by Milesi .

Size of the model in the picture

The heart-shaped Ampezzo chair is built in the 41×51 depth x 89h dimension. Being produced and painted by hand, it is also possible to make it in a natural finish without decorations.

Historical notes and mobile curiosities

This model of chair produced and decorated by hand in antique fir, like all our models, is handcrafted and for this reason is extremely robust and suitable for environments with continuous use such as luxurious mountain chalets, alpine hotels and prestigious style dining rooms, but it is also perfect for making your home more comfortable and welcoming. The origins of this chair date back to the early eighteenth century. It is in the Appezzano style, which totally expressed the creativity of the craftsmen of that era through the shapes, colors and designs they represented. Both the patination and the decorations are fixed with a natural and transparent water-based varnish from Milesi which creates a barrier against the attack of fungi, molds and parasites and also protects the wood from its degradation when it comes into contact with ultraviolet rays. The exclusivity of this product is the combination created by us with a sideboard decorated in the Ampezzo style in ancient fir. The use of ancient fir wood gives a flavor and warmth in the unique and unrepeatable visual impact.
