Custom handcrafted production of a two-door TV stand inlaid in walnut and olive wood, handmade in the Asolano Directory style.

Elegant classic style sideboard with solid walnut frame and olive wood inlays, usable as hall furniture, sofa back or TV stand, exploiting its capacity as a liquor holder in the living room or pantry in the dining room. Its clean and elegant line makes it perfect both in classic environments and in contexts of contemporary furniture, as detachment element.

Model Description

Model Structure

The TV stand sideboard is equipped with 2 doors and an internal compartment with a shelf that can be easily adjusted thanks to rack ladders. It is supported by a corbeled plinth open in the centre, which lightens its shape making it slim. The grain of the wood on the two doors is symmetrical and the olive wood inlays help to increase the value of this wooden piece of furniture produced in the Vangelista 1960 high cabinet-making workshop.

Raw Material

The frame of the TV stand is made of solid walnut, while the sides, the top and the panels of the doors are veneered in walnut with a thickness of 4 mm. The precious olive wood embellishes the aesthetics of the furniture. Solid ash wood is used for the interior. Only natural products are used for polishing and antiquing.

Manufacture

The precious TV stand sideboard is completely handmade in our laboratory. Thanks to the use of a 4mm veneer it is possible to uniform the grain of the wood on the doors, making them aesthetically symmetrical. The back of the sideboard is worked with a cross frame. The piece of furniture is hand-polished with natural products, dyed with water-based dissolved earth powder to obtain the desired shade, skilfully antiqued in the most protruding parts to make it as similar as possible to the original model.

Century of use

The two-door TV cabinet is reproduced from the original artefact dating back to between the end of the 1700s and the beginning of the 19th century in the cabinet-making workshops of the Padua area, in the Veneto region.

Historical notes and mobile curiosities

A client of ours who manages several showrooms and resells our products, wanted to commission us a line in the Directoire style - Asolano Veneto. The sober lines, the plinth open in the center and the inlays in precious olive wood recall the typicality of the furnishings produced in the Paduan workshops.
