Precious half-moon shaped console table with drawer, inlaid with Ferrarese walnut briar root and herringbone rosewood. The furniture fits very well into luxury entrances, combined with a lamp into living rooms and can also be made in pairs to be placed in a front position. We have produced the console art. 298 natural finish.
The stem of the console is shaped like a half moon and made of solid spruce, veneered with a fine walnut herringbone pattern. The top, veneered with a thickness of 4 mm in walnut along the outer edge, presents in the center a splendid Ferrarese walnut briar, worked symmetrically with an "open spot" and is embellished with a thread inlaid in rosewood, a rare exotic essence. The edge of the top is also surrounded by a bois de rose fillet. The lower frame has a transverse grain, which gives it greater value. The 2 legs are shaped like a "S" and made from a piece of solid walnut, joined at the end by an ashlar and carved by hand. The console is equipped with a drawer in precious walnut wood, worked in a herringbone pattern and veneered with a thickness of 4 mm. The brass octagonal knob is reproduced from the original in the Venetian Asolano style of the second half of the 1700s.
The inside of the console and of the drawer are in solid spruce wood, veneered with a 4 mm of precious walnut wood. The legs are in solid walnut. For the inlays were used Ferrarese walnut and bois de rose. The octagonal drawer knob is in cast bronze on an earth mold. Polishing is done with shellac.
The half-moon shaped console table in Venetian 700's Baroque style is designed, built, inlaid and polished inside the high-cabinetry workshop Vangelista Mobili 1960. Polished with shellac with natural products, the console highlights the splendid veining and movement of the walnut root. The octagonal drawer knob is made of cast bronze on an earth mold, chiseled and polished by hand with the working techniques used in the 18th century.
The console is hand built in two sizes: 90x39x69h. large - 68x28x55h. small. The importance of furniture and its strong demand are due to its artisanal production, and therefore to the possibility of its complete customization in terms of size, type of polishing and quality of the essences. It is possible to view the raw crescent console at our laboratory. We have produced the same console art. 298 natural finish.
The elegance of the artifact and the choice of the precious essences is part of the construction criteria of the Treviso cabinetmakers of the mid-1700s. The original table denotes an aristocratic commission, given the care taken in the construction and the choice of the precious and rare essences.
One of our antiquarian customers from Rome, visiting our production laboratory, provided us with a picture of a shaped wall console with walnut root inlays, located at the entrance of a 17th century Roman villa. The antique dealer wanted an exact reproduction of a pair of this console. Knowing our mastery, we have made this splendid pair of half-moon inlaid consoles. The design, workmanship, marquetry and polishing have been completely realized inside the high-cabinetry workshop Vangelista Mobili 1960.
