Historical notes and mobile curiosities

At the end of opulent eighteenth century, the trend in furnishing changed; in the nineteenth century, in fact, the upper class preferred moderate and measured pieces of furniture. The result was that people asked their trusted craft workshops to build delicate and slender furniture in rounded forms, like this refined sideboard with shaped drawers. Nowadays we can find this piece of furniture in the entrance room, in the hallway, in the living room or among pillars. The architectonic structure of this elegant double leaf door Luigi Filippo pantry-cupboard with 3 drawers, with slim and modelled legs, shows the proximity to Belluno area.
