Introduction

Luxury shaped sideboard with 2 doors and inlays in Ferrarese walnut briar and fine essence of Brazilian rosewood, hand made in the 18th century Emilian Louis XV style. This furniture is built for prestigious residences and luxury homes with important living rooms and entrances.

Model Description

Model Structure

Extremely valuable work of art with a “crossbow” structural system, the sideboard reproduced by hand inside the high-cabinetry workshop of Vangelista Mobili 1960 is moved both on the front and on the sides, supported by shaped feet connected to the shaft by a curved apron. The four tall legs are shaped like a saber.

Raw Material

This high quality handcrafted sideboard is completely veneered on solid spruce with rare and precious essences such as a splendid and rare Ferrarese walnut briar, worked in an “open spot” in the centers and Brazilian rosewood. The key and accessories are made of brass.

Manufacture

Designed, built, inlaid and polished inside the high-cabinetry workshop Vangelista Mobili 1960, the sideboard is inlaid with walnut and 4 mm thick veneer. The frame of the top in walnut essence with the so-called vertical "vein of head" increases its artistic value. Even the reproduction of the key and accessories, in hand-chiseled brass, echoes the traditional high-quality manufacturing of the 18th century in Emilia. Front, sides and lid are completely inlaid. The front has 2 large doors adorned with double squares with inlaid fillets in precious rosewood essence. It is embellished with a herringbone pattern towards the centers with a splendid flamed walnut in the center with a beautiful Ferrarese walnut root, worked both on the sides and in the top. The key and accessories are made and chiselled by hand. The love for '700 Baroque style furniture, both Venetian and Emilian, has led our company over the decades to research and create exclusive and luxury furnishings, always maintaining the craftsmanship of the 18th century.

Size of the model in the picture

The sideboard is reproduced in two dimensions: 135x53x96h. and 155x60x96h. Being a handmade product, it can be customized for size and type of polishing.

Model History

Century of use

The sideboard was taken from the original furnishings dating back to the mid-eighteenth century with the same characteristics of the classic Louis XV style.

Historical notes and mobile curiosities

We were able to reproduce this important artifact from the original model which is located inside Palazzo de 'Rossi in Pontecchio Marconi, in the province of Bologna. The manor dates back to the second half of the sixteenth century, but given the shape, the patination and the choice of the precious essences we have credited the origin of the construction of the sideboard in the first half of the '700.
