Model Structure

The structure of the small console has a central drawer and 4 wavy legs in the shape of a sabre. The console is veneered with walnut essence and embellished with inlaid fillets in precious maple wood.

Raw Material

The wavy and shaped console is made of walnut and maple wood. Only natural products are used for polishing.

Manufacture

The elegant small console is designed, created, inlaid and polished by hand in the Vangelista Mobili 1960 high cabinet-making laboratory. It is polished with a pad with natural products following the 22 steps of the Farsetti method, the same used in the manufacturing by hand in use in the Venetian workshops of the seventeenth century. This method makes it possible to highlight the warm veins of the precious walnut essence and the chromaticity of the inlaid maple wood fillets, with the effect of bringing the console as close as possible to the original model.

The stylistic layout recalls the typicality of the 18th century Asolo Veneto classic style furnishings.

Historical notes and mobile curiosities

A few years ago a jewelery shop asked us to reproduce a pair of consoles noted in an antique furniture magazine. From the photo in the magazine we drew the shapes of the period model on a plywood panel and from these we started to make the console. The success of this small and graceful console model has been so disruptive that over the years we have reproduced it in large quantities.
