Elegant beige cabinet with 2 drawers, hand-decorated with light blue floral motifs, perfect for prestigious entrances and luxurious bedrooms.
The cabinet with rounded and moved shapes is structured with 2 drawers and with shaped high legs. Lacquered and hand painted in beige tones, it is decorated with baroque and floral motifs in light blue with procedures and techniques used in the 18th century.
The elegant bedside table is produced in all its structure in solid linden wood, which is very suitable for lacquering.
The entire structure is handmade and the decoration is made adopting procedures and techniques used in Venetian workshops during the eighteenth century: it was initially created a base with worn Bologna plaster, then the furniture was hand painted with tempera colours and patinated with natural ground to give an antique appearance. It was all fixed with a transparent shellac spread with a brush and then with the final protection phase using virgin beeswax.
The bedside table is made in sizes 51x29x61h. Being handmade it can be reproduced according to size, type of lacquering and decorative subjects.
The original piece of this graceful artifact dates back to the second half of the 1700s, built in a Venetian craft shop.
The history of the reproduction of this bedside table is very curious. A couple of customers gave us photos of the original model coming from a Venetian workshop of 1700 asking us to produce it in small dimensions to be adapt to the children's room, maintaining the same architectural forms and decorations. For the realization we have created a drawing quoted on plywood panel and, having seen our customers for confirmation, we proceeded with its realization.
