Model Structure

The Direttorio '800 Trentino style chest TV stand in walnut wood with supported by shaped legs has an elevating upwards shelf with handcrafted folding hinges in hot-forged iron. The rectangular structure is supported by 4 shaped legs, typically used in 17th-century furnishings from Trentino. Inside there are no divisors, so the chest is customizable according to the customer's need.

Raw Material

The Direttorio '800 Trentino style chest TV stand in walnut wood with an elevating shelf and supported by shaped legs is made of walnut wood, whereas the inner part (back and bottom) are made of solid spruce wood, the same used by 17th century Trentino's craftsmen.

Manufacture

The chest TV stand is assembled with handmade "dovetail" joints. The plan is processed by framework and lifts upwards, main feature of Trentino chests. The 4 brackets are shaped from solid walnut to enlighten the whole structure, put together with socket pin joint system, which is resistant to shocks and movements. the plan has a moulded profile and it is enriched by a cornice in the lower part, and it can be closed by a handmade central keyhole in hot-forged iron from the original item. Polished matt by wax and hand antiqued by stone. Vangelista Mobili 1960 is the only handcrafting company who polishes its products with old techniques and natural products. We apply water-based clays (natural powders in colour hazelnut, yellow, red and green) to obtain the right shade, antiqued by stone and established with hand-waxed shellac applied with a brush, protected by 96% virgin wax. The furniture is designed, manufactured and hand polished in our art laboratory 100% Made in Italy.

The original Direttorio '800 Trentino style chest TV stand in walnut wood with an elevating shelf and supported by shaped legs is in Palazzo Roccabruna, Trento - which was rented to Philip II of Spain's speaker during the Council of Trento - precisely in the salon "hall" Conte di Luna. We have reproduced the main features of the furniture, the shape of legs on plywood, technical dimensional drawings and pictures.
