Luxury double leaf door cupboard in big dimensions, hand-decorated in Luigi XV rococò venetian end-1600 style.
Inside the double leaf door big hand decorated in Luigi XV Venetian rococò cupboard, there are two shelves in the lower part and a clothes hanger with the chance to build some internal shelves to use as a pantry. The structure has a strong and plain line, supported by bracket feet. The big double leaf door is enclosed by thin squared and moulded pilasters, while the upper part is embellished with a protruding frame.
The cupboard is completely made of three crossed layers in solid spruce, in order to avoid dilatations and structural variations over time. Also venetian cabinet-makers used solid spruce in the seventeenth century.
The cupboard is polished and sanded by hand to remove all rough parts, then we apply the consumed “Gesso Bologna”. Hand-painted with polychromatic water-temperas, the main part is sage green baroque symmetric patterns (we create the colour in our laboratory, with blue and yellow, then we add white and last we add black). In the middle, there is a floral pattern with brilliant colours. The nut shading draws attention to the decorations. The beige background and hand coating with natural clays give the cupboard an antique look.
Built in size 200x69 depthx220h. the item is completely customizable for sizes and decorations.
This is a refined and elegant reproduction in rococò Venetian seventeenth century-style and it dates back to the end of seventeenth century. The original model is in Palazzo Donà dale Rose, Venice.
A patrician family, the Donàs, ordered this cupboard for their mansion. Contrary to other families, the furnishing was more or less the same. Thanks to a light coloured cupboard, the salon was bright. Vangelista Mobili 1960 manufactures this wonderful cupboard, like every product in its catalogue, with a strong passion for work and research.
