Model Description

Model Structure

The writing desk secretaire bureau with roller shutter is perfect for centre roo. The frame is composed of 3 drawers on a shaped structure and a sliding mechanism with roller shutter. Inside there are 10 small drawers and a compartment used as a document case, and a removable tablet used as a support for books or computer. The frame is supported by 4 pyramidal tapered legs, typical of Luigi XVI furnishing. The drawers at the bottom and the removable tablet are divided by a refined shaped cornice which surrounds all the outline.

Raw Material

The furniture is made of walnut wood, the inside of drawers are in lime wood. The handles with a pendant ring and the pommels are made of bronze, reproduced with the same technique of the original writing desk.

Manufacture

The writing desk secretaire bureau for entrance in walnut wood with roller shutter and tapered legs in Luigi XVI style is assembled with mortise and tenon joints, the roller is made with some horizontal staves put together by slot-in joint systems so that they can easily slide. The legs are derived from walnut wood and modelled in the shape of a reversed truncated pyramid. Inside the roller flap there is a castle with small drawers and a central compartment embellished by 2 turned pillars on the sides. Hand polished with natural clays dissolved in water for the right shade, slightly antiqued with stone and established by shellac applied with a brush, final protection with virgin beeswax applied with a soft cotton cloth. Hand polished with natural products.
