Luxurious shaped Venetian sideboard inlaid with precious walnut and cherry wood, with arabesque motifs.
The Venetian sideboard, with a sinuous line that makes it particularly original and refined, shows two shaped doors, assembled with vertical slats. The frame is made of solid fir wood, completely veneered (with a 3 mm thick veneer) with a precious essence of flamed cherry, inlaid with walnut wood, whose brown tone is highlighted by the wood of pink cherry. The apron line, also shaped, follows the wavy movement of the front part. The inlays depict arabesque subjects that recall the architectural typicality used in the Venetian 18th century shops, according to the fashion imported from the Arab countries with which the Serenissima Republic of Venice had woven thick commercial relations. The same inlays are reproduced both in the top and in the sides and re-proportioned to their size. The interiors have 2 drawers on the left side and adjustable shelves by means of a wooden rack on the right side. The back is worked with a cross-shaped frame, the interiors are made of solid essence of solid ash.
The sideboard is made of solid basswood, veneered with flamed cherry and inlaid with walnut wood. The interiors are made of precious solid ash wood.
The prestigious shaped and inlaid sideboard is designed, built, veneered and polished completely by hand inside the Vangelista Mobili 1960 art and high cabinetry workshop, following the methodologies in vogue in Venice in the eighteenth century. For the polishing are used natural lands and sludge, fixed with shellac varnish spread with a brush, slightly aged, while for protection it is used 94% virgin beeswax spread with a cotton cloth.
The shaped sideboard can be made to measure for size and type of finishes. Built in two sizes: 135x55x108h. and 170x58x108h.
The aesthetic impact and the inlaid work recall the Venetian furnishings of the early eighteenth century.
On the commission of the Superintendency of the Fine Arts of Venice we reproduced exactly from the original model this exclusive and luxurious cupboard with arabesque motif inlays, which was placed at the main entrance hall of Palazzo Stern in Venice.
