Model Description

Model Structure

The luxury pantry closet is made with 2 central doors, 2 lower drawers and 2 upper secret small drawers. The cabinet is supported by 4 tall and shaped legs that lighten the shape, as well as slender the stylistic layout of the shaped top drawers in the shape of "them". The decorations of the doors are exemplary and original, lacquered in polychrome with a highly refined amber yellow baroque, in whose interior stands a splendid decoration of vases containing sparkling bouquets of flowers. The top is lacquered in imitation lobster marble.

Raw Material

The pantry cabinet is made of solid linden wood, wood typically used in Venetian shops of the eighteenth century to produce furnishings that lend themselves to lacquering. The interiors are in solid spruce wood. The handles and the key are in cast bronze on an earth mold.

Manufacture

The refined shape of the structure and the precious decorations in Louis XV style denote the high craftsmanship of our company in reproducing true eighteenth-century masterpieces. The drawers are mounted with dovetail joints, which guarantee greater value and stability. The cabinet is set up with 3 adjustable shelves by means of a sawtooth rack. The handles and the key are reproduced from the same of the original artifact, in molten bronze on an earthen mold, chiseled and polished by hand. The most complex workmanship is given by the decorations, carried out taking up the same techniques used in the prestigious Venetian workshops from the late seventeenth century: on a plaster-based base plastered with Bologna, the pantry is lacquered with colors in shades of yellow ocher background, while the fronts of the lower and upper drawers are in sage green pastel color. The decorations are patinated with brown earth dust, which create an antique flavor, fixed with clear French shellac paint spread with a brush, then protected with virgin beeswax in a yellow shade.

Historical notes and mobile curiosities

A German customer looking for a pantry cupboard, visiting our workshop saw a hand-decorated Venetian sideboard (art. 360) with the same decorations he had imagined for his furniture. Without hesitation, we carried out the project with the listed details, re-proportioning each decorative subject according to the new dimensions. The result was so extraordinary, that even today we make the piece to measure.
