Made in Italy Tyrolean Baroque style chest built and decorated by hand with tempera in shades of aviation and flowers, which reflect the typicality of the Trentino prairies. Ideal for furnishing important houses and luxury mountain residences, the piece of furniture fits very well even in modern contexts.
The chest of drawers is hand painted with tempera and has a raised floor, as used in chests made in Val Badia. The simple line is enriched by the lower part, open towards the center, shaped and mixtilinear both in the front and in the sides.
The TV chest is built with an essence of solid spruce, soft and compact wood, excellent for fixing plaster and applying tempera paints. It can also be made in evaporated spruce. Only natural products are used for lacquering.
The boards (sides, top, interior, front, bottom) are joined together with a solid "comb" joint, which keeps the joining of the boards stable over time. The structure of the chest is constructed with interlocking and is decorated by hand with tempera following the same working techniques used in the seventeenth century in Trentino: first the lacquering with a semi-liquid solution of water and gypsum called "chalk Bologna" consumed and, when dry, the decoration. The chest is aged with powder of natural earths in brown tones, fixed to shellac spread with a brush and protected with virgin French beeswax spread with a cotton cloth. In the case of evaporated spruce, the wood is placed in a special oven with natural fumes to obtain a straw-colored shade and only virgin beeswax is used for finishing. The tempera colors are all made and mixed in our artisan laboratory, a detail that makes this process typical of the made in Italy furnishings unique.
Built in 4 sizes: 70x37x50h. - 90x40x54h. - 100x42x56h. - 110x45x58h.The decorated chest is handcrafted and customizable to size, lacquer (color tone) and decorative subjects.
The decorated Tyrolean TV stand is reproduced from the original artifact that dates back to the second half of the 1600s, coming from the splendid and rich artisan area of the Val di Fassa.
We have recovered the original artifact in the village of Vigo di Fassa, on a disused farm. It is possible that the Tyrolean TV stand would be used as a linen door for the bedroom. We decided to reproduce this "700 Tyrolean style hand-painted baroque entrance hall or living room chest, faithfully maintaining the main features of the building, namely the shaping of the lower part, the openable lid and the polychromatic decorations with bright colors. The mission of Vangelista Mobili is to keep the craftsmanship alive in a competitive market that always requires more tailor-made handmade furnishings, having as its target the exclusivity and originality, typical of the Made in Italy.
