Tyrolean corner in fir with floral decorations in bright green-yellow colors and with door decorated with a mountain scene. Given its small size, this corner unit fits well into entrances, dining rooms and bedrooms of important mountain residences.
The corner cabinet is structured with a small drawer and a door; the body is supported by a console plinth open in the center, which lightens its shape. The polychrome decorations are in shades of green and yellow, embellished with floral motifs on the sides of the pillars and in the central drawer. The door stands out from the eye for a splendid decoration depicting a woman sitting with, in the background, a typical Alpine landscape.
The Tyrolean corner is made of solid fir wood, an essence that lends itself very well to the work of decorations. For hand lacquering, natural products are used.
The Tyrolean corner cabinet is produced and decorated by hand in the Vangelista Mobili 1960 high cabinet-making workshop.
The small alpine corner cabinet with 1 door and 1 drawer is produced in 2 sizes: 39x39x5x92h. - 75x75x190h. Being handcrafted, we can lacquer it with the desired color tone and choose the type of decorative subjects.
The original model dates back to the mid-1600s and comes from an old farm in the splendid Val di Fiemme valley in Trentino.
The history of the reproduction of this graceful Tyrolean corner unit is very curious. Visiting the splendid Val di Fiemme area, in the window of a clothing store we noticed the original model of this corner cabinet and we immediately entered to ask the owner for information. He informed us that many of his customers would have liked to buy it, but given its uniqueness and rarity, he had no intention of selling it. We set out to reproduce it faithfully with the same characteristics, so that the shopkeeper could sell our piece. Over the years the clothing store has transformed into a Tyrolean-style furniture store, and the shopkeeper has become our reseller.
