THE PROCESSINGS
Handcrafted construction using traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, with hand-carved and hand-grooved details. The Vienna cane is hand-woven, while the finish is applied entirely by hand using traditional shellac varnish, with a final protective coat of pure beeswax based on 97% turpentine. The craftsmanship follows the same traditional techniques used in Venetian workshops during the 19th century.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE
This chair is an artisan reproduction of an early 19th-century original model from the Upper Treviso area of Veneto, Italy, reflecting the refined Venetian Louis XVI and Directoire styles.The original model was carefully studied in its shape, proportions and construction details, then reproduced in our workshop using solid cherry wood, traditional cabinetmaking techniques and hand-woven Vienna cane. Particular attention was given to the shaped backrest, fluted legs and distinctive handcrafted frame, preserving the elegant proportions and character of the historical design. The finish follows traditional Italian techniques, using natural earth pigments, hand-applied shellac and beeswax to enhance the natural beauty of the solid cherry wood. The result is a 100% Made in Italy handcrafted reproduction, combining historical elegance, traditional craftsmanship and timeless Italian design, entirely made by Vangelista 1960.
