Model Description

Model Structure

The originality of the chest of drawers in the Venetian Asolan style lies above all in its shape, with the advanced central body that breaks the front line, embellishing the piece of furniture and making it more refined. The legs are finely shaped in the shape of a saber. Characteristic is the first shaped upper drawer, with the grain arranged vertically, also known as the "head". The shaping surrounds the entire perimeter of the cabinet, including the two sides. The chest of drawers features precious hand-made inlays.

Raw Material

The chest of drawers is in solid spruce, covered with a veneer of precious flamed walnut essences and enriched by a refined threaded maple inlay. The support legs are in solid walnut, obtained from a solid piece. The handles are made of brass. Only natural products are used for polishing.

Manufacture

The inlaid chest of drawers is particularly valuable because it is reproduced with the same processes used in the 1700s in the Vicenza workshops. This 100% Made in Italy Venetian Asolan style furniture is made and polished by hand in the Vangelista Mobili 1960 high cabinet-making workshop. The brass handles are also handmade.

Historical notes and mobile curiosities

A pair of this elegant chest of drawers dating back to the mid-eighteenth century is located inside the prestigious and elegant Palazzo Chiericati in Vicenza. Given the uniqueness of the piece of furniture, given by the central mixtilinear shape, we decided to reproduce it for our customers in three dimensions. Being handmade, each model is reproducible to measure.
