Reproduction of an important crystal display cabinet that can be easily inserted into refined entrances and important dining rooms with tableware or collections holders. The refinement and sinuosity of the lines makes the glass cabinet an extremely refined piece of art. The elegant shape of the frieze and the 4 hand-carved support legs outline the typicality of fashion in the flourishing period that goes from the mid-1700s to its end.
The structure of the glass showcase has 2 glass doors in the upper part and 2 wooden doors in the lower part. The piece of furniture is supported by 4 shaped and hedgehog carved legs, typical of the Venetian style of the 18th century. The connecting apron is shaped and sculpted by hand with curls and pilasters, embellished halfway along its length with a carved shell. The upper part of the glass showcase is shaped like a hat and the 2 tempered glass shelves are adjustable with brass bushings. The back is covered in fabric.
The whole structure is made of solid walnut wood. The doors and shelves of the showcase are in tempered glass. Only natural products are used for polishing.
The hand-carved Venetian showcase in walnut essence is designed, built, carved and polished by hand in the Vangelista Mobili 1960 high cabinet-making workshop. The hand polishing is done using natural products: water-based dyes with earth powders to obtain the desired shade, fix with shellac paint applied with a brush. Even the antiquing is done by hand and meticulously cared for in the exposed and external parts, respecting the traditional manufacturing techniques.
The glass showcase is produced in the dimension 120x50x210h. It can be reproduced to measure in terms of size and type of polishing.
The elegant shape of the frieze and the 4 hand-carved support legs outline the typicality of the fashion in the flourishing period that goes from the mid-1700s to its end. This splendid hand-crafted reproduction is faithfully constructed as the original mid-eighteenth-century artifact.
Inside the hall of the splendid Palladian residence Villa Godi in Lugo di Vicenza, there is the original copy of this unique and rare hand-carved glass showcase, dating back to the mid-1700s. We are proud to having reproduced a model of such beauty and importance, which places Vangelista Mobili 1960 among the recognized Italian excellences in the custom-made construction of art pieces and high cabinet-making.
