Precious finely hand decorated Venetian cupboard, arranged with a big double leaf door and a magnificent decoration in Luigi XV Rococò style.
The upper frame, finely shaped, of this precious finely hand decorated Venetian cupboard softens the squared and strong lines of the furniture. The cupboard is open inside and there is a removable shelf and a clothes hanger, while the back is manufactured with a cross framework. The big double leaf door is closed on the inside with a vertical pole coated with a solid spruce moulding. Last but not least, the bracket feet elongate the cupboard.
This model of precious finely hand decorated Venetian cupboard is completely made of three crossed layers in solid spruce, in order to avoid dilatations and structural variations over time due to humidity or sunrays exposure.
The tempera is prepared with a semi liquid “gesso Bologna” (water, rabbit-skin glue and chalk), so that the tempera and decorations evoke an old-fashioned look. Hand-painted with polychromatic water temperas grotesque decorations, royal coat and griffons surrounded by flower vase; the lateral pillars are painted with vegetal patterns coming through a venetian cherub.
