Description Model

Production of a 2-door cabinet–sideboard, lacquered and hand-painted in Alpine Tyrolean style. We craft handmade furniture painted according to tradition, with authentic finishes and carefully detailed decoration. On request, we can also reproduce the larger 3-door version, maintaining the same typical hand-painted Tyrolean style (art. 406).

MODEL STRUCTURE

The structure of the cabinet–sideboard features 2 doors and 2 drawers, resting on a shaped perimeter base crafted according to the traditional artisan techniques of the Giudicarie Valleys. The doors are decorated with stylized 17th-century floral motifs, while the beveled pillars display paintings of elegant elongated flowers.

RAW MATERIAL

The hand-decorated Tyrolean cabinet is made of solid spruce, the wood traditionally used for lacquered and painted Alpine furniture. The hinges and locks, reproduced from original models, are made of hand-forged wrought iron. For the lacquer, we use only natural products, respecting Tyrolean tradition and artisanal quality.

THE PROCESSINGS

The Tyrolean Alpine Baroque-style cabinet is handmade and hand-painted in the Vangelista1960 high-quality cabinetry workshop, ensuring bespoke artisanal craftsmanship. The doors, finely framed with an elegant curved profile, and the frame, assembled with precise “T” joints, reflect meticulous construction. After careful sanding, the cabinet is lacquered with a traditional lime, water, and Bologna gypsum base, then aged to reveal the natural spruce wood grain. Hand-applied polychrome tempera adds the typical Tyrolean charm, with a light and dark green base and stylized floral motifs in red, yellow, blue, and green. The finish with natural earth pigments, French shellac, and white beeswax gives depth and an authentically antique effect. Hardware, including hinges and locks, is made of hand-forged wrought iron, faithfully reproducing the original models.

History Model

CENTURY OF USE

Our Tyrolean cabinet originates in the heart of the Giudicarie Valleys, inspired by a late 17th-century period model. In this area of Trentino–Alto Adige, where Alpine traditions are still alive, the art of wood carving and decoration has been passed down through generations. The cabinet reflects the typical Alpine Tyrolean style, with warm colors, hand-painted floral motifs, and traditional symbols. Each piece is unique, representing the craftsmanship of the Giudicarie artisans, combining passion, attention to detail, and the authentic spirit of the Trentino mountains.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

Our Tyrolean cabinet is inspired by a late 17th-century period model, a time when a refined tradition of painted furniture developed in the Alpine valleys of Tyrol. These cabinets were found in the wealthier peasant homes and decorated with floral motifs, auspicious symbols, and natural colors, elements that still define the aesthetic identity of Tyrolean style today. The cabinet is entirely handmade in the Vangelista 1960 high-quality cabinetry workshop, where master artisans employ ancient woodworking and painting techniques. Each piece is unique, carefully detailed, and faithful to the spirit of the original 18th-century model, yet designed to blend harmoniously into elegant Alpine residences and mountain homes.
