Elegant Venetian mirror in Louis XV style carved and gilded by hand in gold leaf, ideal furniture for entrances resting on valuable consoles and important bedrooms. Important reproduction of the original model dating back to the second half of the 18th century, Palazzo Ca ‘Vendramin Calergi, Venice.
The mirror has a rectangular shape and presents a frame with very neat and refined carvings.
The frame is carved in an essence of solid linden wood.
Vangelista Mobili 1960 is one of the rare companies that produces and lacquers its models of mirrors with the same working methods used in Venetian workshops of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
The mirror is produced measuring cm. 81x135h. Being hand made it can be made to measure for dimensions and finishes.
This mirror is an important reproduction of the original model dating back to the second half of the eighteenth century, located in the Venetian palace Ca ’Vendramin Calergi.
We were commissioned to produce a dozen mirrors carved and gilded by hand from the period model in pure Louis XV style for the prestigious Hotel Danieli in Venice. The care and refinement of the carvings, combined with the precise gilding in gold and silver leaf, characterize our work carried out in the high-cabinetry workshop Vangelista Mobili 1960. In combination with the style of the mirror we reproduced the Venetian console art. 294 (see photo).
