Tyrolean column cabinet with two drawers and a door, light blue and cream lacquered, hand-decorated with Baroque elements. Being small in size, can be usable as a lamp holder for important entrances or bedrooms in luxurious mountain residences.
The structure, made of solid spruce, has a plinth, small drawers at the ends and a central door. The choice of shades in soft colors such as light blue and cream and floral decorations reflect the typicality of the fine furnishings made in Val Badia in the mid-1600s, in Trentino craft workshops.
The column cabinet is of solid spruce. The lacquering and decorations are done by hand with natural products.
The column is made and painted by hand at the Vangelista Mobili 1960 craft workshop. The decoration, carried out using the same techniques of the time, was made by fixing the worn “Bologna” plaster background and then painting the Baroque and floral motifs by hand in tempera with light blue and white shades. The cabinet is also patinated with natural earth and mortar and protected with virgin beeswax in a yellow shade.
The small size column is made in the size 40x28x85h. Being produced and painted by hand, it can be customized in terms of lacquer dimensions and shades.
The column cabinet of small sizes is the faithful reproduction of the original furniture in the classic Baroque style dating back to the second half of the seventeenth century, located in the beautiful Val Badia (Trentino-Alto Adige).
The working techniques and the use of materials for the construction of this important small Tyrolean cabinet unit are the same as those used in the Trentino workshops during the 1600s. Through the manual ability and the use of natural materials, it is possible to reproduce real works of art that only Vangelista Mobili 1960 manages to achieve, keeping alive the craftsmanship of the real Made in Italy.
