The frame is assembled with mortise and tenon joints, the legs are hand-shaped from solid spruce wood, whereas the shaped cornice is made with an apposite steel moulding machine. The leaf door is assembled by framework and it is divided into 2 panels on the inside, surrounded by a diamond shape and closed by a vertical lock to keep the hermetic closure safe. The most important and complicated step is the decoration: the furniture is lacquered with a semi-liquid “gesso Bologna”, applied with a brush for a worn effect to create cavities to put natural clays, and then it is painted with water-based temperas and brushes of various thickness. The frame is decorated in light blue and the lateral pillars are enriched by floral patterns, the leaf door is painted in sea green with yellow ochre panels, for a strong contrast of colours that enhance the decorations. On the centra panels, there are 2 polychrome seasons, fall and winter, inside an oval cornice with mountain rural scenes dating back to the 17th century, Trentino. The detailed and perfect decoration, as well as the refined coating, are completely handmade. The decorations are established by transparent French shellac applied with a brush and a final protection with 97% virgin beeswax applied with a soft cloth.
