Description Model

The Tyrolean Baroque sideboard is crafted as a 3-door pantry-style unit, handmade and hand-painted according to Trentino tradition. This artisanal piece can be customized in size, bringing an authentic warm atmosphere to alpine homes, chalets, and rustic interiors.

MODEL STRUCTURE

The Tyrolean sideboard is made with a fixed three-door structure, featuring adjustable internal shelves with rack ladders. The base is finely moulded and shaped in the traditional style of furniture crafted in Trentino workshops.

RAW MATERIAL

Constructed from solid spruce wood, a traditionally used material that is ideal for craftsmanship, carving, and artisanal decoration.

THE PROCESSINGS

The structure is assembled with a frame using mortise-and-tenon joints, while the doors feature mistilinear frames, a typical craftsmanship of the Val di Fassa. The base is bracketed and shaped to lighten the form and give the piece a more harmonious and elegant appearance. Hand-lacquered with a Bologna chalk-based primer, the surface is then gently worn with specialized tools to achieve an authentic antiqued effect. The piece is subsequently decorated with natural tempera pigments mixed with water and patinated with brown earth powders to create shadows and subtle shading. The decorations are sealed with French shellac applied by brush and protected with virgin beeswax based on turpentine. All processes faithfully replicate the techniques used in Trentino workshops during the 17th century.

MODEL DIMENSION IN THE PHOTO

The decorated Tyrolean-style sideboard is available in three sizes: a 3-door version (as shown in the photo) measuring 165×38×115 cm and 195×44×122 cm, and a 2-door version measuring 117×38×115 cm. Being entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, it can also be custom-made both in size and in lacquer colors.

History Model

CENTURY OF USE

The base, open at the sides and in the central section, features a mistilinear molding that elegantly recalls the typical shapes of mid-17th-century Tyrolean furniture, crafted in the artisan workshops of the Val di Fassa. This distinctive detail lightens the structure and conveys the authentic spirit of mountain tradition.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

In the mid-1980s, we were entrusted with a vintage Tyrolean sideboard, a rare and precious piece bearing the marks of time and generations past. Every scratch and subtle hue told stories of skilled hands and Alpine interiors from a century ago. With great care, we documented every detail: the worn decorations, the shaped base, and the hand-forged iron hinges. Through meticulous artisanal work, we brought this treasure back to life, honoring the techniques and spirit of 17th-century Trentino masters. The result is a unique sideboard, capable of bringing elegance, warmth, and the magic of Tyrolean tradition into modern homes.
