Small, rounded Venetian sideboard, two-tone gray lacquered with 18th century Venetian Baroque Louis XV bronzes. The refinement of the shaped and wavy lines, combined with the originality of the two-tone finish make it an exclusive artifact, well suited to both classic and modern furnishing contexts. Currently it is located in the seventeenth-century Palazzo Cà Pesaro, to Venice.
The structure has two doors in the lower part and three drawers in the upper part, two of which are large while the third is a secret drawer. It is gently shaped like a "crossbow" both in the sides and in the front.
The shaped top is made of solid cherry wood, worked with a frame, while the frame is made of solid linden wood with planks of 8/12 cm wide. The interiors are in solid spruce wood. The luxury accessories are handmade in cast bronze on a mold of earth according to the ancient lost wax method. The antiquing is done by hand with stone and the coating with brown earth dust, fixed with transparent shellac paint and protected with 97% virgin beeswax.
The artistic value of the small and rounded Venetian luxury sideboard is given by its construction entirely done by hand, respecting the methodologies used in the Venetian shops of the eighteenth century. The interiors, in solid pine wood, are prepared with two adjustable shelves with a wooden rack, while the back is worked with a cross-shaped frame. The “crossbow” front and sides is given by the union of the linden boards between them, suitably shaped to give it the desired shape, and joined with natural glues produced by animal waste. The back is worked with a cross-shaped frame. The interior of the drawers are joined with solid dovetail joints which, being hand-made, have the widest joint. The support legs, high and shaped, are enriched with luxury bronze accessories handmade in classic 18th century Venetian style and are embellished with a hand-carved cord that surrounds the entire perimeter. The refined bronzes, which denote the influence of France in the Louis XV style furnishings, are handcrafted in cast brass on an earthen mold with the ancient method of lost wax, chiseled and polished by hand. The finish is two-tone, with the top in dark honey-colored cherry wood and the entire lower part lacquered in grey, protected with 97% French white wax.
