Ampezzo sideboard with wavy and rounded shapes, custom made by hand with important Baroque decorations and painted with scenes of Alpine life. The shaped and hand-painted Ampezzo sideboard is a piece of art that can be inserted in mountain furnishing contexts, alpine dining rooms and prestigious mountain chalets. We have created a splendid Ampezzo chair painted in fir and combined with the sideboard, hand-decorated with baroque in essence of antique 18th century wood art. 558.
MODEL STRUCTURE ​
The structure of the Ampezzo sideboard has 2 doors and 2 drawers, with a central drawer that acts as a secret. The piece of furniture is supported by 4 shaped legs connected by a baccigliere, also finely moulded. The decorations on the doors represent scenes of seventeenth-century Ampezzo life set in the enchanting valley of Cortina. The sides, top and drawers of the rounded sideboard are decorated with baroque designs in dark green tones. Being made on living wood, the decorations are shaded so as to blend with the brown color of the fir. The Ampezzo sideboard is a unique product with a strong emotional impact.
RAW MATERIAL
The sideboard is made of antique fir wood with a first patina dating back to the mid-1700s. The vintage wood gives it a flavor and warmth similar to the original model.
THE PROCESSINGS
The shaped Ampezzo sideboard is made and painted by hand in the Vangelista Mobili 1960 high-end cabinet-making workshop. The structure is made with vertical planks of solid fir glued and shaped to obtain the desired shape; the planks are glued together with a T-joint and the structure is smoothed so as to smooth out all the edges and precisely define the rounded shape. The drawers are assembled with handcrafted dovetail joints. Before proceeding with the decorations, the sideboard is brushed, in order to highlight the grain of the fir wood, and finally painted with polychrome colors based on water tempera.

The Ampezzo sideboard is produced in the 120x50x96h measurements. Being handmade, it is possible to produce it to measure for dimensions and decorative subjects.
History Model
CENTURY OF USE
This sideboard takes up the stylistic typicality of the furnishings placed inside the ancient Ampezzo farmhouses of the 1600s. The original model dates back to the second half of the seventeenth century and was produced in the Belluno craft workshops.
HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE
This rounded sideboard was commissioned by various customers, who browsing our site were amazed to observe this piece of furniture with a great character, thanks to the bright colors of the Baroque in dark green tones, and to the precious and very refined decorations that represent typical scenes of life mountains of the Ampezzo area and of daily life in the Belluno area. For this sideboard we have created a chair in our Venetian high cabinet-making workshop that recalls its decorations with the same essence of ancient fir from the 1700s. This piece of furniture through its shape and its rounded shape fully represents the manufacturing of luxury made in Italy made strictly by hand.
