Custom production of a table convex bedside table in venetian Baroque style made if walnut brian root and hand inlaid with rosewood.
The internal structure is made of fir boards, joined together and shaped to give the convex shape, smoothed by hand and then inlaid with rosewood. The front and the side structure have a double rounded shape. The bedside table, an important and refined reproduction of the mid-eighteenth century, is equipped with two drawers.
The convex bedside table is veneered with fine herringbone walnut briar root and a refined Ferrarese walnut root prepared in open stain. It is embellished with a threaded inlay in bois de rose.
The bedside table with soft and graceful lines is veneered and polished by hand with natural products according to the Farsetti method, base with water-based polychrome earth powders, fixed with shellac paint applied with a brush, protection with a pad wick (22 steps circular) handmade antiquing, the rounded and rough Venetian bedside table follows the processes in use in Venetian workshops since the mid-17th century in which the warm veins of the precious essences and chromaticity of the wood grain are strongly emphasized, to get closer to an artifact similar to the original model. Vangelista Mobili 1960 is the only company that polishes with the Farsetti method.
The dimensions of the bedside table are 64x36x69h. Being handcrafted by hand, it can be reproduced and customized according to size and type of essences.
The choice of the raw material and the double shaping of the bedside table show the typical Louis XV style in vogue in Venice in the second half of the eighteenth century.
According to the request of one of our important clients we have reproduced this bedside table / cabinets with a rounded shape typical of the Venetian Baroque from the original model of the mid-eighteenth century, located inside Palazzo Barbarigo in Venice.
