Description Model
Tyrolean dresser for entrance or living room, ocher yellow and beige lacquered with polychrome decorations and spiked legs, made and painted to measure, coming from the Val di Sole area.
MODEL STRUCTURE
The structure is presented with 2 large drawers with lock and with the 4 shaped support legs in a “pin” conical shape in pure Louis XVI baroque style “700 Tyrolean. The sides are embellished with a molded contour frame. The chest of drawers is painted in polychrome tempera with baroque, geometric and floral subjects. The background tones are in ocher yellow and beige.
RAW MATERIAL
The 17th century Tyrolean Louis XVI style chest of drawers is made of solid spruce, in all its structure, an essence typically used by craft workshops in Trentino.
THE PROCESSINGS
The slender line of the “pin” legs and the polychromatic decorations of this handmade chest of drawers, produced in our high cabinetry workshop Vangelista Mobili 1960, reflect the typical Tyrolean style furnishings. Lacquered with a plaster background Bologna, and painted in polychromic tempera with baroque, geometric and floral subjects, the chest of drawers is coated with powdered earth that creates an aging effect with an antique flavor, and fixed with transparent shellac applied with a brush, finally protected with virgin French beeswax.

Being a handmade production dresser, it can be made to measure for dimensions, lacquering and decorative subjects. Built in two sizes: 90x36x86h. and 120x52x 102h.

CENTURY OF USE
The chest of drawers is reproduced from the original artifact dating back to the end of the seventeenth century, coming from the Val di Sole area more precisely from Malè, in Trentino Alto Adige.
HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE
Interesting and curious is the first realization of this model, which we have reproduced for a private mountain residence completely furnished in a contemporary/modern style. The architectural firm that commissioned the dresser wanted to highlight the single piece in contrast to the modern furnishings, to emphasize the classic Tyrolean Louis XVI style of the mountain residence.
