Model Description

Model Structure

The chest of drawers has 3 drawers with handles taken from the original piece. Built with noble and precious woods, with rounded forms in the front and sides, it is made with a walnut veneer worked in "herringbone" and Ferrarese walnut root prepared to "open stain". The chest of drawers presents threads inlaid with bois de rose with longitudinal grain. The legs, high and shaped, are connected by a lower band, or chain, finely moved and inlaid with a refined thread in rosewood.

Raw Material

The interiors of the Venetian luxury dresser are in solid spruce wood. Externally it is inlaid with a 4 mm veneer in walnut worked in a herringbone pattern and with an open-stained walnut, inlaid filet in exotic wood of bois de rose (rosewood) with the most precious longitudinal grain. The handles, half moon shaped, are made of by cast bronze on ground mold, chiseled and polished by hand.

Manufacture

The chest of drawers is entirely hand-built in our high cabinet-making workshop according to the typical 17th century craftsmanship. The inlays of this perfect and elegant reproduction in Louis XV style are obtained on a 4 mm slab. The handles are made of cast bronze on the ground mold. It is polished by hand using only natural products: the water-based lands are used to obtain the desired shade, while for its light antiquing we used stone. Finally, everything is fixed to shellac spread with a brush, finished in wick (22 circular passages with tampon) with straw-colored oil and pumice-stone powder, to emphasize the warm veins and chromaticity of the splendid briar root and approach the polishing of the original model.

Size of the model in the picture

This luxurious dresser is reproduced in the dimension 125x48x85h. Since it is entirely handmade, it can be customizable to measure, quality of wood and type of finishes. For this purpose we also give customers the opportunity to view the raw dresser at our laboratory, so that we can decide all the necessary customizations, from the type of polishing to the model of the handles.
