Introduction

Description Model

Important sideboard in Louis XV ‘700 Venetian baroque style, shaped and moved, with herringbone inlays in walnut and cherry. Large in size, it is the ideal furniture for important entrances and luxurious dining rooms.

MODEL STRUCTURE

The sideboard is elegantly shaped both on the front and on the sides. It is equipped with an apron, which increases its value.

RAW MATERIAL

The frame and the interior are in solid spruce, the veneer is made of fine walnut and cherry wood. The polishing is obtained with natural lands and shellac paint spread with a brush and 94% virgin beeswax.

THE PROCESSINGS

The shaped sideboard in baroque style is handmade in our workshop, reproducing and respecting the working methods used in the 1700s in the Venetian craft workshops. The frame and the interiors are made of solid spruce assembled with vertical slats, covered with a “folder – veneer” in precious walnut and cherry wood worked with the veining arranged in a herringbone pattern, which makes the chromatic effect truly exceptional of the veins. The interiors are constructed by assembling the solid fir with vertical slats before being veneered with walnut and cherry essences. Polishing also follows tradition: natural earths and silt are first fixed to a shellac applied with a brush, which after being aged and coated, is protected with 94% virgin beeswax spread with a soft cotton cloth.

MODEL DIMENSION IN THE PHOTO

Made to measure, the sideboard is built in two large sizes: 170x59x98h. – 200x63x98h.

History Model

CENTURY OF USE

It is believed that the original model was made in the craft shops of the Province of Treviso in the 18th century.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

The provenance of this rare and important inlaid cupboard, now part of a private collection, is credited to the lower Treviso area. We went back to the original through the photographic catalog of the author Giuseppe Morazzoni, who collected the most prestigious and rare Venetian furniture of the 1700s. From a simple photograph we were able to materialize a luxury furniture produced by hand with the same essences and processes of the 18th-century Venetian shops.
