Finest reproduction of a single leaf door hand-decorated 17th-century Baroque Tyrolean cupboard, made of solid soft and knotty-fibre spruce, built and decorated by hand. The refined style and the typical processing of the 17th century are expressed both in the form and in the choice of decorations.

MODEL STRUCTURE ​

This single leaf door hand-decorated 17th-century Baroque Tyrolean cupboard is distinguished by essential, clean, lines and it is enriched with a notching on the outside, while the structural frame is supported by 4 onion-shaped legs. Inside the cupboard there are 4 removable and adjustable shelves with wooden ladders. Last but not least, the lock and the linges are made of hot-forged iron.

RAW MATERIAL

This Tyrolean cupboard is completely manufactured from solid spruce wood, as it was generally used in the seventeenth and eighteenth century for the highest quality furnishings handcrafted in the mountains. Solid spruce wood is also especially well placed for decorations.

THE PROCESSINGS

This single leaf door hand-decorated 17th-century Baroque Tyrolean cupboard is hand-painted with materials and techniques in use in the seventeenth century. The central panel is coloured in dark green, in order to enhance cream-coloured decorations, with polychromatic floral patterns. All panelling parts are decorated with stunning flower pots in the middle, while you can notice a sunray marbling on the borders.

The upper class in Trentino ordered this type of furniture, in modest size but richly decorated, in order to put it inside their residences, especially in the hallways. According to Vangelista Mobili 1960’s informations, the single leaf door hand-decorated 17th century tyrolean cupboard was used as a bookcase or a document case in the rooms where children studied. Nowadays we can find this piece of furniture both in mountain homes and modern apartments, thanks to the contrast with home modern furnishing that enhances the cupboard’s characteristics.
