Description Model

Luxury shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated cupboard painted in classic baroque ‘700 tyrolean style. The tapered legs, doors with prominent sides and magnificent decorations are typical of the 17-th century.

MODEL STRUCTURE

The shaped classic ‘700 baroque tyrolean style double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated cupboard is arranged with 2 central doors shaped in the upper part and in the cornice, softly moulded and embellished by a hand-carved brieze with a meander pattern. The external part is notched and it interrupts the furniture continuum. Inside the cupboard there is a clothes hanger and, in the lower part, a shelf, enriched by a cross-framework. The hinges and the lock are made of hot-forged iron.

RAW MATERIAL

The classic ‘700 baroque tyrolean style double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated cupboard is completely made of solid spruce wood, whose soft and compact fibre is perfect for decorations and the lacquering is uniform over time.

THE PROCESSINGS

The frames and the framework of the double leaf door are decorated with faux marble, the stock is cornflower blue and embellished with yellow-earth baroque and vegetal polychromatic patterns. The upper panelings are decorated with mountain landscapes typical in Trentino-Alto Adige, with two underlying panels decorated with brilliant bunches of flowers. The paintings of this shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated cupboard are established with a transparente shellac applied with a brush and protected by a scented 96% virgin yellow beeswax, without use of chemical processing.

The decorations are typical of the beginning of the 18th century, historic period when the main furnishing trend was the classic ‘700 baroque tyrolean style, thanks to Austria’s influence.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

According to Vangelista Mobili 1960’s informations, the original classic ‘700 Baroque Tyrolean style shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated cupboard is in Stenico castle, in the bedrooms, where the mighty bishops from Trento lived. The owners used the cupboard as a clothes hanger. Trentino castles had furniture from various historic periods, because of the succession of many owners.
