HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

Centuries ago, Austria had a major influence on decorated furniture, especially South Tyrol furnishing: the hinges processing, for example, is more pronounced than decoration. According to Vangelista Mobili 1960’s informations, the original double leaf door hand-decorated Baroque cupboard is in the fortified-castle of Castelbello. After various fires that destroyed all furniture, the von Hendls ordered to restore the castle and bought some decorated furniture. The hinges of this cupboard are processed in the same style of the main gate of the castle and the shields.
