Luxury shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated ‘700 Tyrolean cupboard with 2 drawers, completely hand-crafted and hand-painted.

MODEL STRUCTURE

The shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated ‘700 Tyrolean cupboard with 2 drawers is arranged with the upper frame and the underlying leaves door in the same shape. This piece of furniture is notched at the end and it is supported by 4 shaped legs. Two big drawer containers interrupt the continuum of the doors. Their frame processing indicates the proximity with Veneto. Inside the cupboard, there is a removable shelf and a clothes hanger.

RAW MATERIAL

The cupboard is completely made of lime wood, perfect for Tyrolean mountain furniture of seventeenth and eighteenth century. Lime wood is compact, soft-fibre and suitable for lacquering.

THE PROCESSINGS

We decorate this shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated ‘700 Tyrolean cupboard with 2 drawers using the same proceedings and materials used in 1800. The consumed gesso Bologna covers the whole surface, so that the painting process is easier. Decorated with polychromatic water temperas. A particular attention to the choice of brilliant colours: yellow-earth and light blue. The contrast with the crimson red thread is highlighted by a high-quality decoration, with baroques and lovely floral pattern. The sides, such as the upper frame, are decorated excellently with an artificial marbling and surrounded by a double yellow-earth and red thread.

This is a refined and sophisticated cupboard replica, in baroque end-eighteenth century style, from Valle di Cembra.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

This shaped double leaf door and moulding hand-decorated ‘600 Tyrolean cupboard with 2 drawers is an elegant reproduction in classic baroque style. Austria had a major artistic influence on decorated furniture, with a large amount of colours and the bubbling creativity to realize the symmetry of decorations. The original cupboard is in possession of a noble family in Val di Cembra. It was used as a clothes hanger at the entrance door, while the upper shelf was used to store hats. The photographic material, as well as the shapes, has enabled us to manufacture a cupboard equal to the original one.
