This is an elegant reproduction of a double leaf door hand-decorated ‘600 baroque Tuscan Grand Duchy of Tuscany style cupboard with a drawer and hand painted decorations.
MODEL STRUCTURE
This double leaf door hand-decorated ‘600 baroque Tuscan cupboard with drawer has a linear structure in shapes and big dimensions. Behind the doors, there is a clothes hanger, a shelf in the lower part as a pantry and a massive drawer as a boxes or blanket container. The manufacture of the back, with a cross framework, is a plus. The frame is supported and lightened by 4 bracket feet, handcrafted in typical sienese manufacture.
RAW MATERIAL
The cupboard is completely made of three crossed layers in solid spruce, in order to avoid dilatations and structural variations over time. Suitable for decorations and chalk drafting thanks to the soft-fibre.
THE PROCESSINGS
The frame is completely saffron yellow. On the doors there are floreal and baroque polychromatic patterns. All colours are perfectly matched: the yellow background, the sea green contour lines and beige panelings inside the decorations. The old-fashoned look is emphasized by the consumed “gesso Bologna”. The final drafting with a white beeswax protects and maintains the decorations of this cupboard.

This elegant double leaf door hand-decorated ‘600 baroque Tuscan cupboard with drawer dates back to sienese artisan shops. This cupboard reflects the fantasy of Sienese people that, for all 1600, created richly varied items with baroque geometrical patterns, according to the Etruscan taste. The furniture is designed, hand-crafted, lacquered and hand-decorated in Vangelista Mobili 1960’s art laboratory.
