MODEL STRUCTURE

The structure of the Ampezzana cabinet is assembled with a mortise and tenon frame, while the base and shelving feature an elegant, curved (mistilinear) shaping that lightens the overall form of the piece. This construction ensures stability, artisanal quality, and the traditional style of Ampezzana furniture.

RAW MATERIAL

The Ampezzana cabinet is made of antique spruce, featuring knots dating back to the 1600s and a natural first patina, giving the piece an authentic appearance reminiscent of the original model. This high-quality wood enhances the beauty of the handcrafted cabinet, making it a unique piece in the traditional Tyrolean style.

THE PROCESSINGS

The large Ampezzana cabinet is constructed with a mortise and tenon frame, while the curved (mistilinear) base reflects the traditional craftsmanship of the artisan workshops in the Valle d’Ampezzo. The panels feature geometric inlays, and the entire surface is hand-planed, giving the piece an authentic antique appearance. This cabinet combines tradition, artisanal quality, and the typical style of Tyrolean furniture. The structure, knobs, and hinges are made of hand-forged wrought iron, faithfully reproduced according to the original model.

History Model

CENTURY OF USE

The cabinet is a faithful reproduction of the original model, dating back to the second half of the 17th century, from an ancient farmhouse in the Valle d’Ampezzo. This piece combines history, craftsmanship, and Tyrolean tradition, preserving the authentic style and details of the period model.

HISTORICAL NOTES AND CURIOSITIES OF MOBILE

The Ampezzana cabinet is inspired by the traditional furniture of the Valle d’Ampezzo, dating back to the second half of the 17th century. At that time, in the homes of wealthier farmhouses, cabinets were made of solid spruce and decorated with geometric inlays, floral motifs, and traditional symbols, reflecting the typical Alpine Baroque style of the region. These pieces were not only functional but also symbols of prestige and good taste, preserving the art of Tyrolean cabinetry through the centuries. The modern reproduction is entirely crafted in the Vangelista 1960 high-quality cabinetry workshop, where master artisans use traditional techniques to create unique, high-quality furniture.
