The small weekly chest of drawers is structured with 7 drawers and has floral motifs inlays, which create a visible contrast between the brown color of the walnut and the white tone of the inlays themselves. The chest of drawers is shaped in the front, while the supporting legs are finely shaped like a "saber".
The chest of drawers is made of solid fir wood, with a 3 mm thick veneer in precious walnut essences and with floral inlays in maple.
The Louis XV style chest of drawers inlaid with precious essences of walnut and maple is a luxury Made in Italy product, built, inlaid and polished in the Vangelista Mobili 1960 high cabinetry workshop. It is hand polished with shellac and shiny wick, slightly antiqued; the clarity conferred highlights the magnificent veins of the precious essences.
The chest of drawers is built in 2 sizes: 50x32x100h. - 60x32x100h. Being a chest of drawers designed, handcrafted and polished by hand, it can be customized in terms of dimensions, essences and finishes.
The original of the small chest of drawers in classic Louis XV style can be dated to the second half of the 18th century.The Louis XV style is characterized by asymmetrical lines, sinuous movements and naturalism. Extensive use is made of floral motifs and twisted shapes, the carvings are precise and detailed, designs are made up with chromatic games and chiaroscuro effects, lacquered and colored panels become fashionable.
The original model of this charming weekly is located on the first floor of the hall of the Thiene Bonin Longare Palace, in Vicenza. We have restored the vintage weekly to bring it back to its original splendor, but given the uniqueness of this piece of art we decided to reproduce it following the same construction techniques of the time. The result was excellent: only with passion, knowledge and continuous study it is possible to create unique art furniture of high artisan value, a symbol of Made in Italy and of the production of Vangelista Mobili 1960.
